Benefits of working with A dietitian
-
Medical Nutrition Therapy significantly lowers HbA1c by 0.3% to 2.0% within 3 months and maintains these reductions for over a year with ongoing support. The largest improvements occur in newly diagnosed patients or those with higher initial A1C levels.

Benefits of cash-based services
-
Cash-based services allow for more personalized, flexible care without being restricted by insurance coverage limits or specific diagnoses.
You can often get longer or more frequent sessions, tailored programs, or specialized testing that insurance might not cover.
-
No need for a doctor’s referral or approval from an insurance company, meaning faster access to care.
You can seek services for preventive reasons (e.g., general wellness or weight management) that may not be covered by insurance.
-
Dietitians in a cash-based model can often specialize in niche areas (e.g., functional medicine, gut health, sports nutrition) without restrictions.
They may offer more holistic or integrative approaches, including supplements, herbal therapies, or other wellness services.
-
Cash-based dietitians tend to spend more time with their clients, offering in-depth consultations and follow-ups, since they aren't tied to the shorter session times that insurance may dictate.
-
Fees are clear upfront, and there are no hidden costs or unexpected bills due to insurance claim rejections or changes in coverage.
Many cash-based dietitians offer package deals or sliding scale fees to make services more affordable.
-
You have greater freedom to choose a dietitian who matches your specific needs and preferences, rather than being limited to those within your insurance network.
